Crates Part 3

Final stretch for the model of the crate! I painted it in Substance Painter, and exported it out to UE5. Finally, I set up an infinity wall for display my work, laid out a few copies of the crate, and captured some motion shots in sequencer. Enjoy!

Crates Part 2

This week I continued to work on the sculpt of the crate. The first step was to move the model over to ZBrush in order to apply primary, secondary, and tertiary details. Then, I exported it back to Maya to create a Low-Res game mesh. Finally, I laid out the UV map in the 0-1 space and baked maps in substance painter.

This is a showing the in-progress crate project, currently it is modeled in Maya. The next step will be to import it into ZBrush in order to sculpt the model and add additional details.

ZBrush Hammer

I decided to sculpt a version of Jayce's Mercury Hammer, from League of Legends. I started out by blocking from a reference image. Then I followed up by joining the different pieces and adding more detail to the sculpt. I think this turned out very well! I'm getting more familiar with the different tools that ZBrush has to offer, but I would like to still learn more about adding the fine details to the sculpt.

ZBrush Head

This is my first project working in ZBrush. I struggled with the definitions in the facial features, but got a decent overall face shape. Below are the reference images I used of Mantis and the final ZBrush model.

Minecraft Level

I modeled the cubes in Maya, and created the textures in Photoshop, and imported them into UE5. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite get the clarity that I wanted in the grass and flowers, but I made them transparent.

3D Sprite Art

I made a recreation of Baron Nashor from League of Legends. For the sequencer, I simply added rotation and vertical movement.
